Larry Scripp, Ed.D is a musician, educator, research, program developer, and administrator who lives in Boston, Massachusetts. Larry became Chair of the Music Education department (and its Music-In-Education program) at New England Conservatory in 1998. As Founding Director of Center for Music-In-Education (formerly known as the Research Center for Learning Through Music), he designs and implements Music Plus Music Integration programs in public schools via the Music-In-Education National Consortium—a coalition of schools of music and education, arts organizations, and school reform organizations through the arts. His major publications (as Executive Editor) include the Journal for Learning Through Music and the Journal for Music-In-Education.
